The Season For Taking!

Taking advantage of the Holiday season that is! Back to back in-state games against division rivals has proved to be a confidence builder for the Kings as they wind down the 2010 portion of the 2010-2011 Season. First Duck Soup on the menu at Staples Center then Shark Sushi Rolls in San Jose the day after Christmas. Since December 1st Dustin Brown is the second highest point scorer in the NHL behind Sid The Kid and the Kings have moved their way back into 2nd place in the Pacific Division. With the recent addition of 7-time goal scorer Marco Sturm and a surge in goal scoring over the past 2 weeks the Kings have manged to average of 4 goals or more in 8 straight games.

Not only has this month been key for Jonathan Quick as he continues to rack up shutouts but also for Jonathan Bernier as he attempts to gain the favor of the Kings fans and show them why he was such a highly ranked goalie in the AHL last season.

The next big challenge for the Kings will be to take on reigning Eastern Conference Champions (FLYERS) on Thursday Night at Staples Center when the they will try to extend their current winning streak and finish December with 47 points.
